This program is designed to help you become a knowledgeable homebuyer by teaching you the concepts that are critical to your home buying process. Hope’s housing programs will give you the tools you need to be prepared and confident when you find the right home. Participants are provided with an introduction to the key steps in purchasing a home for the first time.
Hope’s Housing programs are HUD approved with instructors certified by NeighborWorks Center for Homeownership Education and Counseling (NCHEC), community- based comprehensive homebuyer education course offered in the Mississippi Gulf Coast region. Our seminars are offered to you at a minimal $25.00 charge. When you graduate from the 8-hour program you will receive a certificate of completion, satisfying the counseling requirements of many special loan programs.
Course Overview & Schedule:
1st Session- 4 hours (M & W) Managing Money and Understanding Credit
2nd Session- 4 hours (T & Th) Obtaining A Mortgage Loan and Shopping for a Home
*Every 2nd & 4th M, T, W, Th- 5:00PM to 9:00PM
Saturday Session- 8 hours, covering sessions 1 and 2.
*Every 2nd Saturday of the month – 8:00AM to 4:30PM
