Executive Director

Mr. William F. Stallworth was born in 1954, in Monroeville, Alabama to Reverend F.C. and Stella Stallworth. His early childhood was spent in Pensacola, Florida, where he attended segregated schools. When his family moved to Jackson, Mississippi, in the 1960s, he attended Lanier High School. And again, when his family moved to Hattiesburg, Mississippi, he attended Rowan High School and S.H. Blair High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education at Jackson State University. After his graduation from college, Mr. Stallworth moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

  • From 1976 to 1978, he served as the Residential and Business Relocation Officer for the City of Biloxi.
  • From 1978 to 1979, he served as the Community Development Planner for the City of Biloxi.
  • From 1979 to 1981, he served as the Community Development Specialist for the City of  Biloxi.
  • From 1981 to 1983, he was the Personnel Officer and Voter Registrar for the City of Biloxi.
  • From 1983 to 1993, he was a councilman for the city of Biloxi.
  • From 1985 to 1992, he worked as a partner in BFS Services and Computer Technology Support Services.
  • Mr. Stallworth was owner of Stallworth’s Computer and Technology until August 29, 2005.

Mr. Stallworth’s civic activities include vice-president of the Biloxi City Council; member of the Board of Directors of the Salvation Army; member of the Mississippi Municipal Association; member of the Board of Directors of St. Vincent DePaul; and a member of the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross.

Mr. Stallworth founded the East Biloxi Coordination Relief and Redevelopment Agency in   Biloxi, MS now the Hope Community Development Agency and has served as the Executive Director since Septemeber10, 2005.

 Mr. Stallworth is married to Kryzra Stallworth.  Combined they have seven children and five grandchildren.

Board Members

The Board of Directors is comprised of 12 members with a diversity of expertise. In addition to longtime community members, the Board includes the president and a vice president of two local banks; the executive director of a housing development nonprofit organization; the executive director of a child care and community development organization; an attorney; the president of the local chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP); and two pastors. The full Board includes:
